Even during his lifetime, 'The Eternal Wedding' was perhaps the painter's most popular subject: the admirer gallantly hands a bouquet of flowers to his beloved. At the urging of his collectors, Spitzweg painted the motif several times in slight variations. Now the motif is available exclusively from ars mundi as a romantic table sculpture. Our sculptor's model reproduces Spitzweg's original in every detail, right down to the drapery, quiff and flowers.
