Damiano Taurino: Sculpture 'Al Cerchio' (2018), bronze

Product information "Damiano Taurino: Sculpture 'Al Cerchio' (2018), bronze"

The Italian sculptor Damiano Taurino comes from the Salento peninsula - a region where Baroque art and architecture are omnipresent. This influence is still recognisable in Taurino's figures. Realistically and with great attention to detail, he models his sculptures, which are actually scenes and tell their own little stories. One of the central motifs in his work is dance. Sometimes dynamic, sometimes sensitive, he portrays dancers - such as the ballerina here, who is sitting in a hoop that appears to be floating. Sculpture in fine bronze, chiselled and patinated. Cast by hand using the lost wax technique. On an oak wood plinth. Limited edition of 9 pieces, numbered and signed. Format incl. plinth 74 x 43 x 25 cm (h/w/d). Size of plinth 4.5 x 25 x 25 cm (h/w/d). Weight approx. 15 kg.
