Kurt Arentz: Sculpture 'Donkey', reduction in bronze

Product information "Kurt Arentz: Sculpture 'Donkey', reduction in bronze"

The German sculptor Kurt Arentz (1934-2014) was able to bring his very own side to the classic subject of animal sculpture. Although Arentz always emphasised the typical features of the animals, he never strived for naturalistic perfection. He left the surfaces uneven and visibly structured, giving each of his figures a very individual character - as is the case with this donkey, which observes its surroundings in a carefree and relaxed manner. Sculpture in fine bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chiselled, polished and patinated by hand. Taken directly from the original and reduced in size. Limited edition of 199 pieces, numbered, signed and hallmarked with the foundry and ars mundi stamp. With numbered certificate of authenticity and limitation certificate. Format approx. 23.5 x 20 x 7 cm (h/w/d). Weight approx. 1.7 kg. ars mundi exclusive edition.
