The German sculptor Kurt Arentz (1934-2014) was able to bring his very own side to the classic subject of animal sculpture. Although Arentz always emphasised the typical features of the animals, he never strived for naturalistic perfection. He left the surfaces uneven and visibly structured, giving each of his figures a very individual character - as in this study of a foal. Kurt Arentz made a name for himself worldwide with his bronze sculptures and busts. He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2001, has won numerous prizes and many of his works can be seen in public spaces in Europe and America. Sculpture in fine bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chiselled, polished and patinated by hand. Limited edition of 499 pieces, numbered and signed.
