Kurt Arentz: Sculpture 'Penguin', bronze

Product information "Kurt Arentz: Sculpture 'Penguin', bronze"

The German sculptor Kurt Arentz (1934-2014) was able to bring his very own side to the classic subject of animal sculpture. Although Arentz always emphasised the typical features of the animals, he never strived for naturalistic perfection. He left the surfaces uneven and visibly structured, giving each of his figures a very individual character - as in this study of a penguin.Kurt Arentz had made a name for himself worldwide with bronze sculptures and busts. He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2001, has received numerous prizes and many of his works can be seen in public spaces in Europe and America.sculpture in fine bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, patinated green-grey and polished by hand.
