Otto Waalkes is not only a comedian, singer and actor, he is also a gifted illustrator and caricaturist (and incidentally a graduate of the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg). His best-known caricature is the Ottifant. Originally designed as the signature of his own record label 'Rüssl Räckords', the pachyderm increasingly became Otto's trademark over time, even becoming his own drawn alter ego. To mark Otto's 75th birthday on 22 July 2023, we are delighted to be able to offer you an exclusive anniversary edition of his popular Ottifant, limited to just 980 pieces worldwide. This time, his Ottifant is only truly complete with its counterpart. Then these two reach out to kiss each other with their trunks raised and their lips pursed - an intimate, simply adorable couple. Two sculptures in fine bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chiselled, polished and patinated by hand. Limited edition of 980 pieces, numbered, signed and hallmarked with the foundry and ars mundi stamp. With numbered certificate of authenticity and limitation certificate.
