Paul Wunderlich: Sculpture 'Mozart', bronze

Product information "Paul Wunderlich: Sculpture 'Mozart', bronze"

If you approach the sculpture head-on, you see a face that looks at the viewer with interest and concentration at the same time. The slender head sits on the crescent-shaped shoulder section, which is visually divided in the middle by a stylised jabot, and the sculpture captivates with its reduced and seemingly simple form, but the details reveal symbolic elements: A triangle divides the back of the figure and is the symbol of Freemasonry, whose idea of tolerance Mozart thematises in his Magic Flute. The contrast between the baroque head and the reduced body is wonderful. The bronze surface is partly textured, partly smoothly polished, has a golden shimmer and emphasises the nobility and sublimity of the genius.sculpture in bronze, patinated, partly polished.
