'Wall topographies' - this is what Berlin artist Sebastian Welzel calls his unique works. He creates large surfaces with a relief-like structure from many tetrahedrons of the same size. He colours the tetrahedrons, which are around 3 centimetres high, in carefully selected colour combinations. The result is a colourful, three-dimensional surface whose visual impression changes depending on the viewing angle and spatial surroundings: On the one hand, the brightness and incidence of light define the shadows and reflections, and on the other, they determine the intensity and tint of the colour. The Prussian blue monochrome colour scheme and the simple rotation of some of the tetrahedrons make this design particularly impressive. Hand-sprayed laminated cardboard with high light resistance on a thin wooden carrier board. Limited edition of 20 copies, numbered and signed by hand. Format 84 x 98 x 3 cm (H/W/D). Weight approx. 3 kg. With hanging device.
