We can only speculate about the content, perhaps it's about who won the sheep-hopping competition today? I come across ravens or other corvids almost every day on my walks. I can constantly observe something new. They drop walnuts onto the path from a great height or run over them with vehicles to get to the tasty contents as easily as possible. Or they perform acrobatic flying manoeuvres to chase away birds of prey that are raiding their territory. Or they hop around on the sheep that graze our fields in autumn. It looks as if there is a competition to see who is the cheekiest and boldest. All these observations inspired me to create the object 'Rabengespräche',' says Klaus Börner. Astronomy is the beginning of all science, and today, as thousands of years ago, people look up at the heavens with fascination. Knuth Seim's 'Stargazer' is no exception - armed with a long telescope, he gazes at the glittering firmament. Seim depicts him with almost dramatic body tension: His feet are slightly angled for a secure stance and his head is tilted far back as he tries to capture his target. With the Stargazer, Seim, born in 1961 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (Chemnitz), returns to his artistic roots.
