Michelangelo Buonarroti: 'The Brazen Serpent', gilded cast version
Michelangelo Buonarroti: 'The Brazen Serpent', gilded cast version
A sign of God and symbol of healing power: When the people of Israel had to persevere in the desert, some spoke out against God and Moses. Michelangelo used this scene from the Old Testament to create one of the corner scenes of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. The three-dimensional realisation of this global work of art is available exclusively from ars mundi. Edition in polymer art casting, gilded by hand with hammered metal.
