In the end, Hans' academic studies in Munich proved unfruitful, even paralysing. He found more stimulation in the Schackgalerie and the Pinakothek than in the classroom. The study of anatomy, on the other hand, fascinated him, and so he repeatedly occupied himself with (head) portraits, drawing, etching and modelling. His 'Worpswede Child' is both a precise portrait and a hint of a mysterious beginning. Sculpture in fine bronze, patinated. Cast by hand using the lost wax technique. The mould was taken directly from the original in plaster and reduced in size (reduction). In collaboration with the Kunsthalle Bremen. Limited edition of 490 copies, individually numbered and hallmarked with the foundry stamp. With numbered certificate of authenticity and limitation. Format 20.5 x 20 x 11.5 cm (h/w/d). Weight approx. 2.1 kg. ars mundi exclusive edition. 'As a co-founder of the Worpswede artists' colony, Hans am Ende has a special significance for the collection of the Kunsthalle Bremen, as works by him were exhibited here as early as 1895. Today he is represented in our collection by important landscape paintings, numerous works on paper and the sculpture of the Worpswede Child. The extremely finely detailed portrait of the girl radiates an enchanting calm and at the same time conveys Hans am Ende's great artistry. I am delighted that this marvellous portrait is now available to a wider circle of collectors thanks to the high-quality reproduction. (Prof. Dr Christoph Grunenberg, Director of the Kunsthalle Bremen)
In 1509, Jakob Fugger also donated the Fugger Chapel in St Anne's Church in Augsburg, which was designed by Albrecht Dürer: it was the first building north of the Alps to be imbued with the spirit of humanism. The tomb of the Fugger brothers, built by 1512, magnificently decorated in the following years and consecrated in 1518, was the glamorous prelude to the Renaissance in Germany and one of its high points. Alongside Albrecht Dürer, some of the most important German artists of the Renaissance were involved in its creation. The putti that adorn the balustrade of the Fugger Chapel and 'guard' the Fuggers' burial place are unique and full of charm. ars mundi, in collaboration with the House of Fugger, is able to offer you the famous putti as authentic, slightly reduced museum replicas for the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Fugger Chapel in St. Anna exclusively and for the first time! Each piece is carefully moulded by hand in polymer artificial stone and patinated with an antique finish. Putti from the Fugger Chapel II, around 1530: size 28 x 27 x 16 cm (W/H/D), weight 11 kg.

Limited edition of 499 copies, numbered and signed. Size 37 x 10 x 9 cm (W/H/D). Weight approx. 3.5 kg. Exclusively at ars mundi.

Power and passion: Mader's bull Hans-Peter Mader has been fascinated by the power and passion of the bull ever since he attended a bullfight in Madrid; for several years, Mader has been moulding bulls in bronze, each time transforming the bull, whose 'habitus is more reminiscent of a "boring cow with horns", into a dynamic powerhouse'. His bull combines the agile lightness and the dynamic power of its model; it is both an image and an analytical study of the geometry of its physique. Edition in bronze. Cast using the lost wax technique, patinated and polished by hand. Limited edition of 199 pieces. Numbered, signed and hallmarked with the foundry stamp. Size 19 x 35 x 14 cm (h/w/d). Weight 3.7 kg.
